Fud - Restaurant Review App

“The Fud App” is a project that I completed for my User Experience/User Interface class. The intention for the project was to create an App to solve a problem.

Initial Concept: I decided to make an App for Restaurant reviews that focused on giving honest feedback and not just encompassing someone’s worst or best experience. One of the steps in the project was to conduct user interviews. Before this step, I already had assumed of how I thought the best way to create the reviews would be.

Research: I conducted eight user interviews with twenty-eight questions, ranging from demographic questions to restaurant experiences and preferences. After conducting the interviews, I synthesized the results and grouped them according to the type of answer given.

Outcome: I realized through this sorting that all the user interviews had the same results in one section. Everyone said that they didn’t go to restaurants with bad reviews, but they also did not trust online reviews.

Final Deliverable: This realization changed the way that I was approaching the project and how I was creating the reviewing process. It made me realize that there was a reason for each step in the project, and that I shouldn’t jump to conclusions.
